By voting for the Law on Ratification of the Agreement on Cooperation with the United Arab Emirates in the field of tourism and real estate development, the parliamentary majority violated the Constitution and laws of Montenegro and put the country’s natural resources at risk. This law grants a third country privileged status in the management and use of the most valuable state assets, while simultaneously violating Montenegro’s obligations in the European Union accession process.
This act does not represent development; rather, it is a step backward toward legal insecurity and non-transparent processes that go against the interests of Montenegro’s citizens.
Let the majority that passed this law be certain that we will not remain silent while state resources, land, and sovereignty are made available without clear criteria, public debate, or adherence to democratic procedures.
We will continue to expose the questionable dealings of this government, demand accountability, and protect the public interest.
We will be the voice of citizens, experts, and all those who believe in a state founded on law, justice, and European values. This fight is not merely about a single law or agreement — it is a struggle for a legal and ecological state, for transparency, and for the future generations to whom we leave this country.
